Overview

Champaran College of Professional Education maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment, discrimination, or workplace misconduct. In compliance with statutory regulations and the guidelines set forth by higher education authorities, the institution has constituted the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC).

The ICC serves as a dedicated, impartial, and highly confidential body responsible for addressing internal complaints from students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the campus remains a secure and dignified space where all individuals can pursue their academic and professional goals without fear or prejudice.

Key Objectives

  • To evolve a permanent mechanism for the prevention and redressal of internal complaints and workplace grievances.
  • To actively promote gender amity, equality, and a culture of mutual respect among students and employees.
  • To ensure the fair, timely, and impartial investigation of any registered complaint.
  • To organize awareness programs, workshops, and seminars that sensitize the campus community about their rights, responsibilities, and institutional codes of conduct.

Functions of the Committee

The ICC is empowered with the authority and responsibility to carry out the following functions:

Complaint Registration

Providing a safe, accessible, and confidential channel for individuals to formally register their complaints regarding misconduct or discrimination.

Impartial Inquiry

Conducting thorough and unbiased investigations into the allegations, ensuring that the principles of natural justice are upheld for all parties involved.

Remedial Action

Recommending appropriate disciplinary or corrective actions to the institutional administration based on the findings of the inquiry.

Support & Counseling

Facilitating psychological and administrative support for the aggrieved parties to help them navigate the resolution process comfortably.

Lodging a Complaint

Any student, teaching faculty, or non-teaching staff member can approach the Internal Complaint Committee.

Confidentiality Guarantee: The identity of the complainant, the respondent, and any witnesses, as well as the details of the inquiry proceedings, are kept strictly confidential by the committee.

Complaints can be submitted in writing directly to the Presiding Officer of the ICC, handed over to any committee member, or sent via the official grievance email address provided by the administration.
