Champaran College of Professional Education (CCPEUS) enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging in any form, in compliance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. Ragging is a punishable criminal offense, and the College is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students, especially freshers.

What Constitutes Ragging?

  • Tearing clothes, causing physical assault, or stripping.
  • Forcing students to sing, dance, or perform in any embarrassing way.
  • Asking for details of a student's personal life or forcing them to address seniors in a specific way.

Anti-Ragging Committee and Squad

The College has established a dedicated Anti-Ragging Committee (for policy formulation and monitoring) and an Anti-Ragging Squad (for immediate surveillance and action) to ensure compliance with the policy and prevent any incidents of ragging.

Functions of the Anti-Ragging Cell:

  2. Conducting surprise raids and counseling sessions for students, especially freshers and seniors.
  3. Investigating all reported incidents of ragging promptly and impartially.
  4. Recommending appropriate disciplinary and penal action against students found guilty of ragging.
