Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)

Champaran College of Professional Education (CCPEUS) is committed to providing a conducive, fair, and transparent environment for all its stakeholders. To achieve this, the College has constituted a dedicated Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023.

The GRC ensures that any grievance received from students, parents, or staff members is resolved in a fair, impartial, and timely manner, maintaining complete confidentiality throughout the process.

Scope of Grievances

The GRC addresses various concerns, including but not limited to:

  • Academic Issues: Concerns related to examination results, evaluation, completion of curriculum, and non-delivery of expected instruction.
  • Administrative Issues: Problems regarding admission, fees, scholarships, issue of certificates, and other administrative delays or actions.
  • Infrastructure Issues: Complaints regarding facilities like classrooms, laboratories, library, canteen, and basic amenities.
  • Harassment and Discrimination: Cases involving any form of harassment, discrimination, or unfair treatment (Note: Specific cases like sexual harassment are separately handled by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) / Sexual Harassment Committee).
  • Other Grievances: Any other concern affecting the student’s well-being and academic progression.

Grievance Redressal Mechanism and Procedure

The College employs a structured, three-tier mechanism for grievance submission and resolution:

1. Grievance Submission

Stakeholders can register a grievance through the following channels:

  • Online Submission: Fill out the dedicated Grievance Submission Form available on the official college website (or contact the provided email address).
  • Physical Submission: Drop a written, signed application in the designated Grievance Box placed at the College Administration Office.
  • Email: Send a detailed email outlining the issue to the designated GRC contact (see contact details below).

2. Review and Resolution

  • The GRC will formally acknowledge the receipt of the grievance within 48 working hours.
  • The Committee will conduct a thorough investigation, which may involve meetings with the aggrieved party and the person/department against whom the complaint is made.
  • The GRC strives to resolve the grievance within a timeframe of 10 to 15 working days from the date of receipt, depending on the complexity of the issue.

3. Appeal Process

If the complainant is not satisfied with the resolution provided by the GRC, they have the right to appeal the decision to the Principal of the College, whose decision shall be final at the institutional level.
